Deconstruction/reconstruction
Experimenting with textured surfaces with
the use of fire and how you can't control the medium, like the mold I used in other pieces of work.
These pieces are previous art works I have done where I wanted to show a different sense of no control. I love the vibrant and earthy colours it creates, which also reminds me of the vibrant colours from my mold.

Urban Decay - Experimental Process
I love working with natural materials and creating a textured surface that is still building and growing in it's own life. I started working with mold a few years ago and I loved the vibrant colors and not knowing what it's going to do next! My view of urban decay is the life of a derelict building being left to deteriorate but it's still growing within it's surroundings.
Every mold that I have grown has been completely different, the colors, textures and even the surface patterns!

Spore Prints
Also, I painted the background of the paper with some water color to see how effective it was with the spore prints. I found it effective but personally, the crisp white background helps the print to stand out more.

Working with rust..
Experimenting with rust is a great way to create different textures and patterns on any surface!
Also you can arrange the objects into a image of your choice, whether it has something to do with your art work or you just want to experiment for fun!
